'Kureelpa Colour' Open Garden

'Kureelpa Colour' Open Garden

Event Description

Val and Ken Smith moved into their Kureelpa property seven years ago, where there was a very 'ordinary' garden.    Since then Val, an enthusiastic and talented landscaper and gardener, has worked constantly, with Ken's help,  to create a stunning garden with a bit of everything - cottage, tropical and some very innovative and original landscaping structures.  Val's own description is 'quirky, with colour'.   The garden is about 2 acres and very easy walking, and lives up to its name of 'Kureelpa Colour'.

On October 2nd, the garden will be ablaze with a huge variety of plants, and will be open to the public. There is plenty of parking, and a range of stalls including plants and home produce.  Delicious home-cooked food and a Lions Sausage Sizzle will be available all day. All proceeds will go to Katie Rose Cottage.

Val is a very active volunteer for Katie Rose as a member of both the Fund Raising Committee and the Garden team.

If any volunteers would be willing to contribute by way of slices, cakes, pickles, jams and other home-cooked goodies, which can go on the Produce Stall or be used for morning and afternoon teas and lunches, perhaps they could ring Pat Atkinson on 5442 2485 or 0404 980222.'
