Male Choirs in Concert

Event Description

Male Choirs in Concert

The first 2011 concert of the Buderim Male Choir begins on 4th June at the Lake Kawana Community Centre at 2:00pm
The performance includes the New Zealand Male Choir and soloists Guy Maybury and Ryaed Owend.

This will also be the first opportunity for coast audiences to see the Buderim choir performing under the direction of its new conductor, who has impressive national and international credentials.  Paul Coppens, founded the Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra and brought the musical comedy "Up the Tiber without a Toga" to the Sunshine Coast last year and has been lighting up Buderim eacgh Monday night as he brings his enthusiasm to the Buderim Male Choir's weekly rehersals.
The New Zealand's national male choir performing on the same programme is a real bonus following the choir's very successful overseas tour last year when it placed highly in an international eisteddfod in Wales and sang to appreciative audiences in Paris, Salzberg and Vienna.
