Sue holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and is a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA). Sue is also a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has held a directorship with The Summerland Credit Union and is the Treasurer of the Sunshine Hospice Ltd, a voluntary position she has held for the last four years.
Sue has held senior finance roles, including Executive positions, in diverse industries - manufacturing, property, private hospitals, primary health care and community services - and served as CEO of Suncare Community Services Ltd, a not-for-profit organisation providing aged, disability and mental health services. Sue is currently employed as Engagement Strategist for Integrated Family & Youth Service Limited, another Not-for-Profit organisation on the Sunshine Coast.
Her time spent at St Vincent’s Hospital, Lismore as Director of Business provided Sue with many insights in respect of palliative care services delivered in the community and hospital settings. Sue is passionate about and committed to providing the best care for the terminally ill in a hospice setting as an alternative to the home or hospital ward.
Sue loves to spend time with her family including four children and five grandchildren as well as gardening and photography and enjoying the relaxed lifestyle of the Sunshine Coast.
